Hiring Process

How long does the hiring process take?

Hiring a new, regulated driver typically
takes about 30 days (but can take longer under certain circumstances).

What does the hiring process consist of?

Interviewing
Background and Motor Vehicle Record
Safety performance history investigation
Training and Road Test
Medical exam

Are there any requirments to be a driver?

Be at least 21 years of age and have a valid drivers’ license of the type required to operate the applicable motor vehicle within the state of employment.
Pass a background check.
Must be able to move boxes up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.

My Day

Describe a typical day for a delivery associate

As a Delivery Associate (DA), you’ll be on the move during your shift as you deliver packages from an Amazon-branded vehicle, delivering 200-250 packages per day.

What would be my work schedule?

You can expect to work 4-5 days per week and generally 8 hours per day.

What is the work enviroment?

What holidays are the delivery stations closed?

Amazon delivery stations are closed four days in US per year (subject to change):
• New Year’s Day
• 4th of July
• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
